Listen to Carla as she discusses her personal experience with thumb arthritis that caused pain, weakness, and limited agility in her thumb for several years. After other treatments were unsuccessful, she underwent surgery with John Faillace, MD and had a very positive outcome. Her recovery involved minimal swelling and pain, followed by two weeks of physical therapy while wearing a cast that accommodated her work at a barn. Carla now has full use of her hand without pain and highly recommends the surgery to others who haven’t found relief with other treatments. In fact, she’s planning to have the same procedure on her other thumb. Overall, she found the surgery to be easy and very successful.
